When I take a long time
I am slow;
When my boss takes a long time
He is thorough.

When I don't do it
I am lazy;
When my boss doesn't do it
He is too busy.

When I do something without being told
I am trying to be smart;
When my boss does the same
That's initiative.

When I please my boss
I'm ass-kissing;
When my boss pleases his boss
He's co-operating.

When I do good
My boss never remembers;
When I do wrong
He never forgets.

thorough: complete, perfect (rápido, perfecto)
lazy: indolent, not inclined to work (vago/a, lento/a, perezoso/a)
without being told: without anybody telling me to do it (sin que me lo pidan)
trying to be smart: behaving impertinently ("pasándome de listo/a")
that's initiative: they call it readiness (a eso le llaman tener iniciativa)

please: to be pleasing to (complazco, satisfago)
ass-kissing: an ass-kisser is someone who humbles himself or behaves as he had no self-respect (adulador, lameculos)
co-operating: collaborating (cooperador, con buena predisposición)
I do good: when things are OK (las cosas me salen bien) - Opposite: I do wrong
